¿Existe la perfección?.... Está más que claro que un factor tan subjetivo depende en gran medida del gusto de cada uno, y puede sonar pedante en exceso si no se usa apropiadamente. Con todo y con eso, me atrevo a afirmar que existe, y se llama Imaginaerum.

Dentro de la discografía de Nightwish, e independientemente de cuales sean nuestros discos favoritos, Imaginaerum es el más completo. También es el más arriesgado, por tocar géneros nada usuales en la temática del grupo (Slow, Love, Slow. Por ejemplo).

Within Nightwish discography, and regardless of which are our favorite albums, Imaginaerum is the most complete. It is also the most risky, nothing usual genres touching on the subject of the group (Slow, Love, Slow., For example).

Además, contiene unos niveles de producción indiscutibles y una calidad en sus letras que solo se puede calificar como excelente….Si esto puede parecer poco, también añadiremos que Anette (la cantante que sustituyó a Tarja) realiza un trabajo simplemente apabullante y muy por encima del realizado en Dark Passion Play. Es más potente que el anterior trabajo ya citado, y más íntimo a la vez pero, su gran tesoro por descubrir, es esa nueva faceta musical que recrea un entorno “teatral”, la que añade nuevas texturas a lo ya conocido.

Es como si el disco lo hubiera compuesto Tuomas con la ayuda de Terry Gilliam y Tim Burton…..es difícil de explicar, pero recrea un tipo de atmósfera muy similar a la que muestran las obras de estos dos genios.

Nightwish es un grupo que se suele superar en cada nuevo disco, y no quiero decir que Imaginaerum sea mejor que algunos de sus más significativos trabajos. Simplemente digo que es perfecto.

Canciones muy potentes como Story Time o I Want my tears back, junto a temas lentos y espectaculares como Turn Loose the mermaids o la ya mencionada Slow, Love, Slow, conforman un trabajo de una elegancia extraordinaria.

Nightwish is a band that is often overcome with each new album, and I do not mean that Imaginaerum is better than some of his most significant works. Just say it's perfect.

Powerful songs as Story Time and I Want my tears back, with slow and dramatic issues as Turn Loose the mermaids or the aforementioned Slow, Love, Slow, form an extraordinarily elegant work.

Debo de admitir que, la primera vez que escuché el álbum, no llegué a comprenderlo y asimilarlo, resultándome "extraño" de inicio. Este defecto inicial, tras posteriores escuchas, se convirtió en su punto fuerte, pues es un trabajo tan rico en detalles que, cada vez que lo escuchas de nuevo, encuentras algo que pasaste por alto.

Magia, sueños, pesadillas.....este disco habla de todo y para todos. El trabajo más importante de la banda a nivel compositivo y una de las puntas de lanza más impresionantes dentro del Metal sinfónico.....no tengo más palabras: PERFECTO.

I must admit, the first time I heard the album, I did not understand and assimilate, resulting in "strange" start. This initial default, after further listening, became its strength, it is a work so rich in detail that every time you hear it again, find something you overlooked.

Magic, dreams, nightmares ..... this album talks about everything and everyone. The most important work of the band at the level of composition and one of the most impressive spearheads within the symphonic Metal ..... I have no more words: PERFECT.
